  • When it comes to perfume, the world of niche fragrances is where magic truly happens. Unlike mainstream designer bottles you see on every department store shelf, niche perfumes feel more like art pieces — bold, personal, and unforgettable. They’re made for people who don’t just want to smell good, but want their fragrance to say something about who they are.

And in 2025, niche scents are having their moment. From smoky ouds to delicate musks, here are the fragrances everyone’s talking about right now.

For Men: Confident, Bold & Timeless

    Amouage Reflection Man 45

A modern take on a classic. Fresh florals meet deep sandalwood and incense, creating a scent that’s refined yet daring. Perfect for men who want to stand out without trying too hard.

    Initio Parfums Oud for Greatness

If confidence had a smell, this would be it. Smoky, magnetic and powerful, this is oud done in the most luxurious way. Ideal for evenings when you want to make an impact.

    Parfums de Marly Layton

Still one of the most versatile niche perfumes out there. With its mix of apple, lavender, vanilla and spice, Layton works just as well in the boardroom as it does at dinner. A timeless go-to.

For Women: Elegant, Sensual & Effortless

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait

Yes, Baccarat Rouge is everywhere, but the Extrait version takes it up a notch. Richer, more intense, and impossibly addictive. This is the one that leaves a lasting impression.

    Diptyque Fleur de Peau

Soft, powdery and musky, this fragrance feels like second skin. It’s understated yet sensual, perfect for women who want elegance without shouting for attention.

    Amouage Guidance

This one’s quickly becoming a modern classic. Creamy florals mixed with soft incense and warm woods. It’s bold, graceful and seriously unforgettable. A fragrance that makes an entrance and lingers beautifully.

    The Genderless Movement

One of the biggest trends right now is perfumes without labels. Brands like Le Labo, Escentric Molecules, and Ormonde Jayne are pushing scents that focus on personality, not gender.

Take Le Labo Santal 33 or Escentric Molecules Molecule 01, these aren’t “for him” or “for her.” They simply adapt to you, making them feel modern, unique and endlessly wearable.

    Final Thoughts

Niche perfumes aren’t just accessories; they’re an expression of who you are. In 2025, people aren’t chasing trends, they’re chasing individuality. Whether it’s a smoky oud, a soft musk, or a genderless scent that’s completely your own, niche fragrances are all about finding your signature story in a bottle.

So if you’re ready to move beyond the ordinary, these perfumes are the perfect place to start your scent journey.

  • Last Thursday, I had the amazing opportunity to be part of the Johor Content Creators Convention 2025, and what an experience it was.

I joined the stage as one of the panel speakers, alongside a brilliant line-up of content creators, agencies, brands and industry experts like L’Occitane, Zus Coffee and many more. The conversations were lively, full of fresh ideas and plenty of laughs, and it really showed just how far the creator industry has come.

What inspired me the most was seeing creators and brands come together. The energy in the room was incredible, with everyone open, collaborative and genuinely excited about shaping the future of content creation.

Later that evening, I had the chance to run my own session where I shared my personal journey, what I’ve learnt so far, some of the challenges I’ve faced and why staying authentic has always been so important to me. It was great connecting with fellow creators and sharing experiences in such an honest, down-to-earth way.

    One with my team

A big shout-out to Brand Culture for putting on such a fantastic event. Everything was well thought out, engaging and truly inspiring.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Johor Content Creators Convention 2026. The energy this year has set the bar high, and I’m sure the best is yet to come.

  • August always feels like a crossroads summer’s golden glow is still in the air, but there’s that subtle whisper of autumn on the horizon. It’s the month where you can still wear linen at brunch but start thinking about layering for dinner. And that’s exactly the mood I wanted for this month’s wishlist: pieces that balance easygoing elegance with a hint of new-season anticipation.

From a belt that quietly says “I’ve arrived” to sneakers that unapologetically shout “look at me,” this is a line-up of pieces that make you feel something the moment you see them. These aren’t just things you wear and they’re statements, little daily luxuries that change how you carry yourself.

    Price: ~RM5,000–RM6,000

Material & Build: Smooth, grained Togo calfskin in a warm tan with contrast stitching, anchored by the understated yet distinctive H D’Ancre buckle in permabrass. Flip it over and you’ve got sleek black—two belts in one.

Style Vibes: Perfect for elevating smart-casual looks or pairing with tailored trousers. The tan side pops against navy or grey, while the black keeps things razor-sharp.

Functionality: The reversible design makes it a clever travel companion—less packing, more options.

Why It’s Worth It: Yes, it’s Hermès—but beyond the logo, it’s the kind of craftsmanship and versatility you’ll wear for years.

    2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Calendar in Rose Gold

    Price: ~RM130,000+

Material & Build: Rose gold case with art deco lines and that ingenious reversible mechanism. The silvered guilloché dial displays a complete calendar and moon phase—watchmaking at its poetic best.

Style Vibes: It’s classic must have! Dress watch royalty. Pairs beautifully with a crisp shirt and blazer, but equally at home under a fine knit on a relaxed weekend.

Functionality: Dual faces mean you can protect the dial or flip for a more discreet look. And if someone knows what it is, you’ve instantly got a conversation going.

Why It’s Worth It: You’re not just buying a timepiece; you’re owning an enduring icon of design since the 1930s.

    3. Lady Dior My ABCDior Bag – Matte Black Cannage Calfskin

    Price: ~RM28,000

Material & Build: Soft matte black calfskin with Dior’s signature cannage stitching and tonal hardware—a modern, stealth-luxe take on the classic Lady Dior.

Style Vibes: Think little black dress, but in handbag form. Carry it top-handle for a polished feel, or use the wide strap for a laid-back edge.

Functionality: Compact yet roomy enough for essentials. Customisable charms make it truly yours.

Why It’s Worth It: A Lady Dior is forever. It’s the kind of piece you’ll carry through decades without it feeling dated.

    4. Balenciaga Triple S ‘Clear Sole – Light Camel’

    Price: ~RM5,500

Material & Build: Chunky leather and mesh in a warm light camel, set atop the brand’s unmistakable triple-stacked sole, complete with a transparent layer.

Style Vibes: Streetwear swagger with high-fashion cred. Works with relaxed tailoring, baggy jeans, or weekend joggers.

Functionality: Surprisingly comfy despite the bulk. Neutral tone means it’ll go with far more than you think.

Why It’s Worth It: The Triple S isn’t for everyone, but if you’re into statement sneakers, this is a colourway you can actually wear on repeat.

    5. Tom Ford Fleur de Portofino Eau de Parfum (50ml)

    Price: ~RM1,400

Material & Build: A sunlit mix of Sicilian lemon, jasmine, and orange blossom, bottled in Tom Ford’s iconic turquoise flacon.

Style Vibes: Breezy and sophisticated—perfect for warm days, coastal escapes, or when you want to smell like you’ve just stepped off a yacht in Portofino.

Functionality: Works for anyone, any time. Light for the day, elegant for evening layering.

Why It’s Worth It: One spritz and you’re transported to the Italian Riviera. Honestly, that’s a mood worth keeping.

    FINAL THOUGHT

This month’s edit is all about mood-setting. Whether it’s the quiet confidence of Hermès leather, the architectural perfection of a Reverso, or the breezy escapism of a Tom Ford scent, each pick is here to make August feel just that little bit more elevated.

Which of these would make it to your own August shortlist?

  • Some days just feel… heavier, don’t they? The road ahead looks never-ending, and the fog makes it hard to see what’s coming next. But here’s the thing, you’ve made it this far. Every tough moment, every heartbreak, every “I can’t do this” day, you’ve survived them all.

And the best part? Your story isn’t done yet. There are still people out there you haven’t met, moments you haven’t lived, and places you haven’t explored. Life’s got a few surprises up its sleeve, good ones.

Right now might feel like you’re walking uphill with no end in sight, but this part of the journey is shaping you for what’s ahead. One day, you’ll look back and realise this stretch was where you grew the most.

So, take a breath. Remind yourself:
You’ve survived every bad day so far.
Your best day is still to come.
    You’ve got this.

And when that day comes, you’ll be glad you kept going.

  • The countdown is on! I’m getting ready to share my story at Johor’s 2nd Content Creators Convention 2025 this 14 August 2025 (Thursday) at DoubleTree by Hilton, Johor Bahru.

It’s not just a talk, it’s a Workshop, Focus Group, and Conversation all rolled into one. Think of it as a space where we’ll exchange ideas, share real experiences, and explore what it truly means to thrive in the creator space.

I’m looking forward to meeting new faces, reconnecting with familiar ones, and sparking conversations that go beyond the surface. If you’re around Johor, I’d love for you to be part of it. Let’s make this an inspiring day together!

  • This year, we took our team Family Day out of the office and into the great outdoors, and what an experience it was! Our 2-day, 1-night glamping trip was the perfect way to step away from work and enjoy each other’s company without any shop talk.

    Our small team

From the moment we arrived, the mood was light and full of laughter. Everyone brought along their own dishes, from home-cooked favourites to tasty snacks, and the spread was absolutely amazing. We organised our own games, cheered each other on in friendly competitions, and when night fell, we gathered for our very own ‘wayang pacak’ under the stars.

The best part? Having our families with us. It was lovely to see the kids running around together, partners chatting like old friends, and everyone mingling as one big JBCC family. Without the pressure of deadlines or meetings, we could just relax and connect on a personal level getting to know the people behind the job titles.

By the time we headed home, we had more than just great memories. We left with stronger bonds, a deeper appreciation for each other, and plenty of excitement for the next one.

    See you at Famjam 2026!

  • Sometimes, all it takes is a quick getaway to shake things up and Jakarta did just that for me. With just a weekend to spare, I packed my bags, booked my Grab, and hit the ground running in Indonesia’s bustling capital. From sky-high views and soulful shopping to sunset cocktails and a little self-care magic, here’s how I made the most of two whirlwind days in the Big pDurian.

DAY 1: FROM THE CLOUDS TO CULTURE

Morning | Up at Thamrin Nine, Autograph Tower
Started my day literally on top of the world at the top of Southeast Asia’s tallest building from level 109 (385 meter above!). Up @ Thamrin Nine was the perfect intro to Jakarta. Sweeping views, cool breeze, a city that goes on forever. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop, snap a hundred photos, and think, “Right… this is going to be a good trip.”

Afternoon | Sarinah: Indonesia’s OG Department Store
Next up, Sarinah. This place is a national icon not just a mall, but a cultural landmark. Think traditional crafts meets modern cool. Several floors are dedicated to local products, and honestly, I was blown away. It’s not your average souvenir stop. It’s a proud showcase of Indonesian design, and it’s done so well. If you love stories behind your shopping, this one’s a must.

Evening | Ashta District 8: For the Aesthetic Addicts
By golden hour, I found myself at Ashta District 8 Jakarta’s answer to Tokyo’s Omotesando or Seoul’s Garosugil. Think high concept cafés, indie brands, and design that screams “Instagram me.” It’s where the cool kids hang out, and I can totally see why. I lingered here longer than I planned… and I’m not even sorry.

Night | Grand Indonesia: Go Big or Go Home
To wrap up day one, I dived into the epic maze that is Grand Indonesia. One of the biggest malls in Southeast Asia and it doesn’t disappoint since I as kid. From high street fashion to international eats, this place has everything. I wandered, I dined, I shopped, I people-watched. A perfect end to an electric day.

DAY 2: MALLS, MAGIC AND A BIT OF ME-TIME

    Morning | Central Park Jakarta
Bright and early, I landed at Central Park Mall. It’s not just another mall the open-air Tribeca Park gives it a resorty feel. Dogs, kids, couples on coffee dates… it’s got a real lifestyle buzz. Good brand mix too easygoing but fun. It felt like the Sunday morning stroll I didn’t know I needed.

Afternoon | Lippo Mall Nusantra then Pondok Indah Mall
Lippo Mall Nusantra is sleek, shiny and still growing into its own one to watch. Then came Pondok Indah Mall, a Jakarta classic. The vibe here? Timeless elegance. I loved the contrast between the fresh and the familiar. Both spots fed my retail cravings, no regrets.

Evening | Totok Aura at Dian Kenangan
Here’s where things got interesting. Ever heard of Totok Aura? I never failed to visit them every time I’m in Jakarta where I found myself on a comfy bed at Dian Kenangan, getting my face and body gently pressed into alignment. It’s a traditional Indonesian technique meant to bring out your inner glow and . I don’t know about the energy flow bit… but my skin? Radiant. 10/10 would do again.

Night | Plaza Indonesia: One Last Stroll
I wrapped things up at Plaza Indonesia where the city’s chicest come to shop. It’s classy, calm, and has the kind of understated luxury that doesn’t try too hard. I sipped a final coffee, took a quiet walk, and let it all sink in. Two days, a full heart, and a camera roll that’s way too full.

MY THOUGHT : JAKARTA, YOU STUNER

I came to Jakarta for a quick escape, but what I got was a full-on experience. It’s loud, stylish, soulful and full of surprises. In just 48 hours, I saw the city from the clouds, dived into culture, explored the coolest corners, and even managed to sneak in a little self-care.

Sometimes, all you need is a weekend to fall in love with a place or at least to come back feeling a little more alive.

  • Shoolin

… and What It’s Quietly Teaching Me

    This book isn’t loud.
    It doesn’t shout or preach.
But somehow, it’s exactly what I needed.

I’m currently reading Shaolin: How to Win Without Conflict by Bernhard Moestl. It’s not your typical self-help book. It’s calm, grounded, and surprisingly powerful in its simplicity. The author draws wisdom from the Shaolin monks, who are known for their inner strength rather than outward aggression.

Here are a few things that really stood out to me:

    1. Stillness is Strength

The Shaolin believe that real power comes from staying calm, not from reacting quickly or raising your voice.
One line really stayed with me: “He who is calm is in control.”

That hit home. It reminded me that when I stay centred, I make better decisions. I don’t let stress or emotion take over. And honestly, that’s something I want to practise more often in both work and life.

    2. Know What You Want Before You React

This part got me thinking. The book asks what is it that you really want.
Not just the big life goals, but the everyday choices too.

It made me realise that so many of my reactions come from unclear intentions. If I pause and get honest with myself first, everything else becomes easier. Less drama. Less second guessing.

    3. You Don’t Need to Prove Anything

    This quote says it all:
“He who knows himself doesn’t need to prove himself.”

It’s such a simple truth but not always easy to live by, especially when you feel like you’re always expected to show results or maintain a certain image. Reading this reminded me that the more secure I am with who I am, the less I need outside validation. Peace of mind is the real success.

    4. Lead Quietly, Live Boldly

There’s something powerful in how Shaolin monks lead. They don’t shout or force things. They lead through how they carry themselves.

That’s something I want to apply more in my own life, whether in work settings, while travelling, or in everyday moments. You don’t need to push. Just be present, be clear, and let your energy speak.

    5. Your Mind Runs the Show

The book reminds you over and over that if you don’t manage your thoughts, they’ll end up managing you.
It’s all about awareness and focus.

Lately, I’ve been trying to notice where my energy goes and what I feed mentally. It’s not about being perfect. It’s just about being conscious. That awareness shifts a lot.

    Final Thoughts

This isn’t a book you race through. It’s one that gently grounds you.

It’s teaching me that winning doesn’t mean arguing louder or pushing harder.
    Sometimes, it means choosing calm.
Holding your ground with quiet strength.
And remembering who you are, even when the world around you feels noisy.

Recommended to read at least once!

  • When it comes to bags, size doesn’t always matter. In fact, sometimes the smallest accessory in your wardrobe makes the biggest statement.

Mini bags are the fashion world’s way of saying: I’ve got nothing to prove, but I’ll still turn heads. They may not carry your whole life, but they carry something far more powerful and presence. And whether you lean toward quiet luxury or maximalist edge, there’s a mini out there that speaks your language.

Here are my Top Five Mini Bags that unapologetically bring the drama, no matter your style.

    1. Hermès Kelly Mini II in Swift Leather

Drama level: Quiet luxury, maximum impact
Price: From RM38,000 in boutiques, often RM60,000 to RM95,000 or more on the resale market

If elegance could be captured in one silhouette, this would be it. The Kelly Mini II in buttery Swift leather is all about timeless sophistication in its tiniest form. Subtle, structured, and full of quiet confidence — even if it only fits your cardholder and lipstick.

Best for: Power dressing in neutrals. Picture sharp trousers, oversized sunnies and that perfectly understated flex.

    2. Jacquemus Le Chiquito

    Drama level: Micro but mighty
    Price: Around RM2,400 to RM3,000

This is the mini that broke the internet. The Le Chiquito might be small, but its personality is anything but. With its bold handle and playful shape, it’s more sculpture than handbag — and that’s exactly the charm.

Best for: Days when you’re feeling bold. Think clashing prints, big sleeves, and major fashion energy.

    3. Balenciaga Hourglass Mini Top Handle

    Drama level: Sculptural edge
    Price: Around RM11,000 to RM13,000

When structure meets attitude, you get the Hourglass Mini. It’s sleek, edgy, and a bit intimidating in the best way. That curved base and bold ‘B’ hardware? Instant cool.

Best for: Outfits with bite. Oversized coats, razor-sharp tailoring, or just an all-black look with serious edge.

    4. Prada Re-Edition 2005 Mini Nylon Shoulder Bag

    Drama level: Cool girl nostalgia
    Price: Around RM6,300 to RM6,800

A Y2K classic reborn, the Prada Re-Edition is laid-back luxury at its best. It’s light, it’s effortless, and it fits more than you’d expect. Perfect for anyone who grew up loving the early 2000s — but now wants it in a more grown-up version.

Best for: Coffee runs, lazy weekends, or those “I just threw this on” days (but make it fashion).

    5. Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie

Drama level: Woven whispers with big style
    Price: Around RM11,000 to RM12,500

The Mini Jodie is all about texture and quiet charm. That iconic woven leather and knotted handle feel effortless yet elevated. It’s the kind of bag you carry when you’re not trying to prove anything — but people notice anyway.

Best for: Low-key elegance. Think silk shirts, soft neutrals, and outfits that don’t need to shout.

    My Thoughts

Mini bags may not carry your essentials, but they are essential (LOL!). They’re about personality, confidence, and storytelling. Each one holds its own energy, and when styled right, they become less of an accessory and more of a conversation.

Whether you’re into quiet classics or attention-grabbing silhouettes, let your mini do the talking. After all, drama doesn’t always have to shout. Sometimes, it just shows up in a tiny, fabulous bag.

  • Because let’s be honest that small bags, big vibes.

People always go on about how size matters—but when it comes to bags, I’m starting to feel quite the opposite. While everyone’s hauling around oversized totes and gym-sized backpacks, I’ve been eyeing something smaller, sassier, and way more fun: the mini bag.

What started as a fashion curiosity is slowly turning into a bit of a personal style experiment. And no, it’s not just for the girls—mini accessories are for everyone. Whatever your vibe, there’s something about these tiny showstoppers that just hit different.

It’s Not About How Much You Carry, It’s About What You Say

Let’s be honest: a mini bag won’t fit your whole life. But it does carry a message.

    • That you’ve got style.
    • That you don’t need to drag around loads of “just in case” stuff.
    • That you’ve got the confidence to wear something purely because it looks good.

Whether it’s a sleek little crossbody or a tiny pouch clipped to a belt, these pieces aren’t just practical—they’re a statement.

Mini Bags Aren’t Just for Women Anymore

If you still think tiny bags are only for the girls, you’ve missed the memo.

Men in fashion are absolutely owning the mini accessory game right now. Think Pharrell with his Louis Vuitton mini trunks, A$AP Rocky with his belt bags, or Jungkook from BTS rocking a micro crossbody like it’s no big deal but actually, a huge vibe.

These days, it’s not “too feminine” it’s stylish, smart, and surprisingly useful. Keys, card, maybe a cheeky lip balm? Job done.

And for the Girls—Mini Bags Are Having a Major Moment

Women have always been into mini bags, but 2025 has seriously levelled things up.

It’s not just about looking cute anymore it’s about being intentional. The shapes are more creative, the styling more refined, and brands like Jacquemus and Coperni are basically making wearable art.

Best part? They work with everything oversized jackets, flowy dresses, trainers, heels… you name it.

So Why Am I Considering One?

    Because, to be fair:

    • It keeps things light… literally.
    • It forces you to only bring what you actually need.
    • It gives any outfit a bit of flair.
    • And honestly, it just makes you feel good.

I’ve got my eye on a tiny black leather sling bag that fits my cards, a lip balm, and a roll-on perfume. That’s more than enough for most days, really.

    It’s Giving Main Character Energy

At the end of the day, mini bags aren’t just another fashion fad—they’re a whole mood.

They’re about cutting the clutter, styling with purpose, and letting one small detail steal the show.

Mini bags aren’t just for women. Or men. They’re for anyone who loves a good style moment and isn’t afraid to play around with proportion.

So if, like me, you’re wondering whether it’s time to embrace the tiny bag life… maybe it is. After all, small things can make a big impact.
